Leaving our new friends in a good place

    Day 314

    Sparking Creativity

On our last day with FLBQR, we wanted to end on a fun note…something that might continue to spark the creativity of our new friends.

We already know that the FLBQR community has a knack for crafts and creating beautiful things. So why not add to their stock of tools with a boost in bountiful art supplies?

When we showed up with the supplies, everyone was so excited. “We had been thinking about buying some yarn just like this but couldn’t!” said Ethelene. “I already have a project in mind!”

While we were sad to say goodbye to the group and had such a wonderful time with them, we were also happy to know that we were leaving them in a good place – with the creativity flowing and energy sky high!

    Meet Sam!

Sam developed an interest in forced displacement, food insecurity, and identity while working on her master’s degree. She’s now using this knowledge to support Changemakers 365 across our country programs. When she’s not off on a work trip, she’s busy fermenting beverages, training for half marathons, or listening to podcasts at her home in Minneapolis.
