Out in the rural areas surrounding Goma, Dynamique des Femme Juristes help women gain access to justice. Facing threats of violence and discrimination after speaking out or prosecuting acts of violence inflicted upon them, these women are at great risk. But their strength is monumental—despite the threat, they are determined to see the perpetrators held accountable.

Meet Claudine. She's the head of Dynamique des Femme Juristes, a grantee of partner Eastern Congo Initiative. The DFJ team has one powerful mission—fighting for justice for women and children who have had their rights violated.

One of the many projects Heal Africa supports is Ebola prevention. Mainly in rural areas, where access to awareness and things like soap and hand sanitizer can be more difficult to get. 

The work of Heal Africa is well-known in Eastern Congo. They’ve been pioneers in healthcare, particularly for women healing from sexual violence in Eastern Congo, for decades now.
