    Alight’s 5-Year Strategy:
    Unleashing Abundance

    We invite you to download our 5-year strategic plan, which focuses on employing insights and co-creating solutions alongside the communities we serve. Conceived after consultations with global experts and customer voices, our strategy aims to redefine our industry's standards.  In our strategy, we focus our efforts on mass displacement of people due to conflict, climate change, and social and economic exclusion, accompanying them until they find stability and thrive.     Gaza Emergency Response

      DONATE NOW! **Update: Thursday, October 19, 2023** We are raising emergency funding on behalf of Alight's affiliate, Questscope, and an alliance of trusted, local organizations who are providing humanitarian relief in Gaza. As of October 18, UNOCHA reported that the number of internally displaced people in Gaza is estimated at about one million. Essential resources like water, food, and medicine are in critically short supply. Current Response: *Food Security - The alliance has already provided over 2,000 food baskets and set up community street kitchens in order to ensure people have food, water and essential supplies. *Hospital Supplies - The alliance has distributed fuel to hospitals in the southern region of Gaza and today, the team distributed another batch of medical supplies to Shifa hospital and supplies to Al-Awada hospital.     Creating Sustainable Homes in Kismayo

    In 2013 the United Nations, along with the Somali and Kenyan Governments, signed the Tripartite Agreement to repatriate Somalis who had lived in Kenya’s Dadaab Refugee Camp since 1991, when the civil war began. Camp residents were incentivized to return to Somalia, but most had left the country as young children or were born in the camp and had never been to Somalia. Since the agreement, 93,000 people have returned to Somalia, with most returnees settling in the port city of Kismayo. Those who returned were faced with limited livelihood opportunities, continued conflict, and the effects of climate change. Alight has spent a decade working in Kismayo. We have constructed water facilities, established fishing cooperatives and built a fish market.     Syria and Türkiye Earthquake Response

    **Update: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2023** Questscope, in partnership with Alight, has been responding for earthquake survivors in Syria since February 6 - the day the earthquake happened. Our teams' relief efforts have been focused on the Aleppo region, but also include support for families in rural areas near Hama (who've received little to no support). Current Response: *Food and Emergency Relief - Our team has been focused on the emergency needs of families, supporting 6+ shelters and more than 3,000 quake survivors. The team has provided hot meals and emergency food rations to thousands of families. Many of these families were suffering before the quake without enough to eat.
