Helping People Rebuild Their Lives
Our Work:
What We Do | Where We Help | Latest Info
Everything we do begins with the people we serve. They know better than anyone the challenges they’re facing, the things they need, and what will make the biggest difference in their lives. When we deeply understand their experience, we’re able to co-design solutions that create new value and make meaningful change.
What We Do
Refugees share with us what they need, and we work together to create programs that make the most sense for that particular community. To these unique solutions, Alight is able to bring more than 40 years of expertise in services – like health care and sanitation – that are critical to refugee communities. We apply our experience to suit each community and to continue pursuing new and better solutions to enduring humanitarian challenges.
Emergency Response
Alight began with an emergency response on the Thai-Cambodian border in 1979, and since then we have responded to dozens of natural and man-made disasters. Generally, we respond in times of emergency when we can quickly mobilize teams who are nearby and when we believe Alight can contribute something to the overall international response that would otherwise be lacking.
