In Ishpitas, we have a non-formal school attended by 85 little ones in primary grades. The kids are doing well and attending classes, but there was something missing – water.
Everyone told us that their biggest need is water – they only have access to it a few times a day.
But we wanted the kids especially to have water available at school, a way to keep them hydrated, fresh, and cool during the day.
We decided to provide a water tank at the school, so that all 85 kids will have access to it. And, the women who come to gather their children will have access to it, too!
Even though I would love for every single household to have their own water tank, for right now, this is a huge improvement. The kids will have their own water that’s safe and reliable – they won’t have to wait. It’s such a great addition to the school, and to the whole town.
