When we met with the ARC Rwanda team to talk about what ideas they had for their community, one of the very first people they thought of was Anita.
Anita is a bright young Congolese actress and community activist. She’s volunteered with ARC for the last couple of years. She’s been a consistent, reliable, and inspiring volunteer – and they wanted to say thanks.
The team came up with an amazing idea…a shopping spree!
Anita is always focusing on the needs of others, so we wanted to take care of some of her needs!
We all piled into a car and went to the market. Anita wanted to get a new bed – she didn’t have one – and she also said she could use some pots. pans, rice, and a new dress.
The shopping spree was a total hit! Anita started out rather reserved but by the end she was all smiles.
